Adam Smith who stated the cause for free market economics and low taxes is to be honoured by the Bank of England. His portrait and the scene of the infamous pin factory, which he used to describe the benefits of specialisation, are to be commemorated on the £20.

- The article raises social issues that have been embedded into society since the dawn of time. That is: those that can, and those that cannot. It is interesting to think that the Internet has become essential and therefore a necessary outlet for the entire population of an island.

- It still cannot beat the ownership of the actual CD. But for convenience, or for an individual title it's the method of choice for me. I find iTunes a little too top-40 savvy. Just a fact I read that illustrates this is: 95% of iTunes' revenue comes from the same 5% of content.

- BBC have this contest sewn up. ITV have offered me nothing that keeps me coming back. Some of the commentators are fine, but the punditry is awful. Whilst a lot of them are new to the televised role there's still a massive gulf when compared to the seasonal pros at the BBC.

- A more pressing matter is at hand here. Education Unions are falling into a state of apathy, neighbouring laziness. The current debacle over pay has lead many to suspend marking of assignments and exams.
